Darle feedback a un empleado en inglés

Si eres jefe, probablemente te habrá pasado en algún momento que hayas tenido que darle feedback a un empleado, ya sea bueno o malo. Pero una cosa es saber hacerlo en español, tu lengua materna, y otra cosa es hacerlo en inglés. Lo mejor, como siempre, es estar preparado. Por esta razón te dejo algunos tips para darle feedback a un empleado en inglés.

Feedback positivo:

• You did an amazing job when you…
• I would love to see you doing X more, you clearly have an aptitude for it.
• I think it was a great move when you…
• You have been doing a great job with this project.

Feedback negativo:

• I wanted to talk to you about X, I think there are some things that could be handled slightly differently.
• I would like to give you some feedback regarding X, is now a good time?
• Can we talk about X? There are some comments I’d like you to take into consideration.
• I would like to catch up on X, I have a few issues I’d like to run through with you. When are you free?

Algo que es muy importante incluir tanto en el feedback positivo como en el negativo es especificar sobre qué es este. Es mejor no hablar de manera general y evitar, al dar feedback negativo, criticar a la personalidad del empleado; es mejor hacer el comentario respecto a una acción o evento que hizo.
